Creamy Probiotic Vegetable Dip

Creamy Probiotic Vegetable Dip
Creamy Probiotic Vegetable Dip

I can’t get enough of this creamy probiotic vegetable dip. The other day, I was able to get some fresh cucumbers at the farmers market, and that made me start craving some veggie dip! I decided to make this vegetable dip with some fresh avocado I had on hand, and it turned out great. :)

In other news, Frank and I are finally in California, and he’s in his first quarter of chiropractic school. It doesn’t seem like that long ago when we first started seeing Dr. Axe in his old office off up in Brentwood, TN off of Old Hickory. Gosh, I used to hate that drive coming from Murfreesboro in traffic both ways.

Frank found Dr. Axe on his radio show. He called in one day asking about doing a cleanse after we came back from a mission trip in Peru. Dr. Axe said to make berry smoothies with flax seed, which started Frank on a smoothie kick for the last four years or so.

Frank and I were still dating—actually I think we were engaged—at the time when he called in to Dr. Axe’s radio show and Dr. Axe, suggested smoothies. Naturally, the best smoothies are made with a VitaMix, so we put one on our wedding registry, and my grandparents actually bought it for us! My mom has had the same one for well over a decade, and it works just as well as the day she bought it. It’s literally indestructible. No really, the container is actually bulletproof. Isn’t that crazy?!

I used the VitaMix for this recipe as well (naturally), since the VitaMix is seriously the best blender on the planet. I make my peanut butter and salsa and plenty of soups with it, too. Anyway! Let’s get on to the recipe.

Creamy Probiotic Vegetable Dip

1-1/2 cups kefir (how to make kefir)

1/2 cup milk or cream, preferably raw

1 large ripe avocado

Fresh herbs of choice (parsley, thyme, dill, oregano, cilantro, etc.)

Green onion

3-4 TBSP raw honey (buy here)

2 tsp apple cider vinegar (buy here)

Squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Himalayan pink salt to taste (buy here)

Black pepper to taste

Using a food processor, blend all the ingredients together until smooth. The end! It’s good on all sorts of vegetables! :)

I struggle with hormonal #acne, which means that after a breakout, the only thing I can do is try to even out my complexion and bring down the #inflammation. Throughout my cycle, I drink #Tulsi #Tea, and it helps a lot. But this turmeric mask is a wonder! I mixed @pureindianfoods high-curcumin #turmeric with #rawhoney and #fresh #lemonjuice to make a paste. Then, I left it on for 15 minutes until it had dried. To remove, I first used my fingers to roll off the dried pieces, then warm soap and water and a wash cloth I didn't care about staining yellow. 😄 No, it doesn't stain your face yellow, but if you still see yellow on your face, it means you didn't get all of it. It's
